Dear Supporter,
If someone asked you, could you explain why the D.C. Zoning Update is important, what the process for the zoning update looks like, and the key features of the update worth getting excited about?
What about the claims naysayers are making against the zoning update? Do you know what their arguments are, and how to refute them?
If the answer to any of these questions is "no", we hope you'll join us next Thursday (March 7) for Zoning Over Beer, a Coalition for Smarter Growth messaging workshop for Pro-DC members supporting the zoning update.
Zoning Over Beer
Thursday, March 7
Laughing Man Tavern
1306 G St, NW (Metro: Metro Center)
Doors open: 6:00pm
Workshop: 6:30 - 7:30pm
RSVP required >>
Join Cheryl, Alex, and Aimee at the Laughing Man Tavern's Library Room for an hour-long crash course in what you need to know to speak up for the zoning update. We'll go over why the update is important, the process to date and going forward, and the features of the update that CSG is excited about. Time allowing, we'll also touch on commonly-heard arguments that opponents to the project have been using.
Due to the workshop nature of this event, attendance is capped at 25 people and limited to members of Pro-DC (you!) who have signed our zoning update petition, so please RSVP soon if you plan to attend (and sign the petition if you haven't yet!)

A little something extra
On March 6, Phil Mendelson will hold an oversight hearing on the zoning update. Whether you can make the Zoning Over Beers workshop or not, won't you take a moment to use our template to submit written testimony to the hearing in support of the zoning update right now?
Yes! I'll submit testimony right now! (2 minutes) >>
