Save Bertina's Home
We need you to take action to save Bertina Jones’s home. Bank of America and Freddie Mac have manipulated, misled, and mistreated Bertina, and now they want to kick her out of her home. Inspired by the nationwide Occupy Our Homes movement, we are preparing to defend Bertina’s home in Bowie, MD.
Dear Ed Haldeman, CEO of Freddie Mac
Dear Ed DeMarco, Director of FHFA
We are writing to demand that Freddie Mac modify Bertina Jones’s mortgage to enable her to stay in her home. In January of 2009, Bank of America agreed to modify Ms. Jones’ mortgage. After Ms. Jones spent months diligently making payments, Bank of America reneged on their promise and continued with a foreclosure action against her.
On September 2010, her mortgage was sold to Freddie Mac. Now, Freddie Mac has continued the foreclosure and Ms. Jones’s eviction is imminent. We demand that you stop Ms. Jone’s eviction and return the title on her home.
We are prepared to defend Ms. Jones home if you fail to correct your errors. We are part of a national movement that will occupy homes, occupy courts, occupy sheriffs’ departments, and occupy your offices until her case is resolved fairly.
