Dear friend,  I just watched a new three-minute video filmed by the writer and director of "Food, Inc." called "Labels Matter." It features the story of a mother, Robyn O'Brien, who just wants information about what's in the food she's feeding her family.  Why doesn't she know? Because the United States is one of the only developed nations not to require the labeling of genetically engineered foods. Even China and Russia label them! It's estimated that 60%-70% of processed foods likely contain some genetically engineered material. Plus over 80% of corn and soybeans grown in the U.S. are genetically engineered.  I think we have a right to know how the food we buy is produced, including whether it's genetically modified. Otherwise, we can't decide what's best for us and our families.
