Please sign our business up as an endorser of Washington United for Marriage, the statewide coalition working to keep marriage equality for lesbian and gay couples in Washington State. We would like to join Washington Businesses United for Marriage and show our support for retaining the law by encouraging voters to vote Approve on Referendum 74.

Here are some ways your business can work to defend marriage for all couples

Sell a product or service for Washington United for Marriage

Dedicate something you sell, or a service you provide to help Washington United for Marriage.  Let your customers know that part of the proceeds from that product (10%, 25%, 50%...100%!) will be contributed directly to WUM.

A WUM Outreach representative will contact you directly to discuss specific details.

Direct financial contribution

Support the campaign by making a direct contribution. They usually range from $500-$5,000 depending on the business.

Join Millions for Marriage

Join other Million for Marriage members in pledging to raise $1,000 for the campaign from now and until Election Day. A member of our finance team will contact you to discuss details.

Display signage or a window cling

Display a campaign sign in the window of your business or behind the cash register. Window clings are thin plastic decals that are easy to post on your front door, front window, or delivery truck windows.

Collect customer contributions

Your customers can contribute up to $50 to the campaign as long as the customer receives merchandise in exchange for the donation. We can provide you engagement rings, stickers or buttons in exchange for these small dollar contributions.

Share your endorsement of Washington United for Marriage on your company website, Facebook, and/or Twitter

Display a WUM widget on your company’s website. Visit the WUM business page for ready-made images and embedding code that’ll make it easy.

Have pledge cards at your business

Place stacks of WUM pledge cards around your business where customers can fill them out. Then have a place to gather the completed cards. Contribution envelopes are also available. Campaign field staff will stop by to pick up the cards and refresh your supply.

Host an event

Host a fundraising event at your office or business location.  Washington United for Marriage will partner with you to help promote the event.

Become a Small Business Captain

I am interested in helping organize other businesses in my neighborhood to join Washington Businesses United for Marriage.

Host a phonebank

WUM has excellent volunteers who are willing to reach out for marriage equality.  We are currently looking for business who would be willing to host volunteer phone banks statewide.
