Public Comments on "High Value Conservation Areas"
Click the link below to compose a letter in support of visible and durable Conservation Areas on Oregon's State Forests.
When applied to the Tillamook and Clatsop State Forests, new Conservation Areas will and help protect water quality, prevent landslides, protect fragile soils, conserve rare plants, remove carbon from the atmosphere, and bolster habitat for native fish and wildlife. Other state forests will also benefit from Conservation Areas.
The North Coast State Forest Coalition supports the move to create this new land designation and is working to provide public comments.
Please submit your comments below. You can send our pre-set comments, but custom comments will be more effective. We especially encourage you to identify specific values that you think are important to protect and specific areas that you think need conservation designations.
