Take a stand for Kids, not corporate CEO's

It’s hard to believe – in America there are a lot of middle-class teachers paying a higher tax rate than millionaire CEOs. That’s bad for teachers, but it'seven worse for kids because tax breaks for the rich get paid for by cutting education programs. It’s time we had a tax system that stands up for kids not CEOs.

If we don’t act soon – Washington will impose devastating across-the-board budget cuts to education and other vital programs starting in January.  Class room sizes will swell, special needs kids will suffer, and teachers will find themselves pitching in even more of their salaries just to cover basic classroom expenses.  Over 78,000 education jobs will disappear if these draconian cuts occur. We can’t let this happen.

Instead of cutting funding for our schools and kids and putting 78,000 educators out of work, let’s ask CEOs and other wealthy Americans to pay their fair share.
