2013 Racial Equality and Diversity Teleconference: Dream in Progress- Advancing Racial Equality Today

Join the Honorable Arthur L. Burnett, Sr., retired judge of the DC Superior Court, as he highlight issues impeding racial equality in our country today. Specifically, he will address "Ending the School to Prison Pipeline"  to reduce drastically the waste of our human resources resulting from mass incarceration and racial disparity in substance abuse policies in this nation. Judge Burnett, who was recently honored with the Faith Does Justice Award from Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington DC, will also share the story of a life spent trailblazing for civil rights, including serving as the first African-American United States Magistrate Judge and serving in both the Executive and Judicial branches of government.
