What: HEAL Utah's Spring Breakfast Fundraiser
When: Friday, May 10, 7:00-8:30 am
Registration & Buffet Opens: 7:00 am
Program Begins: 7:30 am
Don't miss HEAL Utah's biggest event of the year, held at our new venue-- the Rice Eccles Towers at the University of Utah football stadium.
Over the past decade, HEAL has taken on many Goliaths-- and won. We'll be taking a look back at our biggest accomplishments from the past decade, from banning hotter radioactive waste to halting the dangerous Divine Strake weapons test to publishing our eUtah Renewable Energy blueprint.
Join us to hear the story of how a small group of Utah citizens, concerned about the damaging health effects of industrial pollution and the nearby chemical weapons incinerator, came together to form what would become one of the most effective environmental advocacy organizations in the state.
We'll also discuss the most important campaigns for HEAL in 2013, including our newest focus: Cleaning up Utah's dirty air.
The multimedia program will include speeches from political activist, author, and one of HEAL's founders, Chip Ward; HEAL's Executive Director Christopher Thomas; our Policy Director Matt Pacenza; and others.
The event is free to attend (did we mention a yummy breakfast is included?) Seating is assigned, however, so please RSVP below to reserve your seat!
At the event, you will have the opportunity to make a contribution to support HEAL Utah's work.
If you have special dietary needs, please email email@example.com by May 2 and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.
We encourage you to come to the event by taking mass transit (stadium stop on the Red Line) carpooling, or biking. Parking is also free in the stadium lot for this event. You do not need a parking pass or sticker.
Proceed through Gate E and take the elevator to the 6th Floor.
The event starts promptly at 7:30. Please arrive 15-30 minutes early to get signed in, find your seat, and move through the buffet line. We'll be waiting for you with plentiful coffee!
If you were invited by a specific person and would like to be seated at their table, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with that information.
Access to the stadium parking lot is off of 500 S/University Blvd. You can also take the Red Line on Trax and get off at the Stadium stop-- which will drop you off right next door.Map
