Hi, Friend. I’m Mark Schauer, a former Michigan Congressman and the co-chair of the BlueGreen Alliance’s Jobs21! campaign and today I was among the peaceful protesters pepper sprayed in Lansing. We were protesting the right-to-work bills forced through Michigan’s legislature and now signed by Governor Rick Snyder. I have news for those attacking working families here in Michigan and around America. Pepper spray won’t stop us fighting for the rights of workers and for good jobs. You can help us in this fight. Please consider contributing $25, $50, $100 or more to the BlueGreen Alliance. The BlueGreen Alliance’s Jobs21! campaign is working to create good jobs that protect our communities and our environment. And, we won’t stop because of what happened today. It’s only going to make us fight harder. Right-to-work is dead wrong for Michigan’s economy. Billionaires and their bought-and-paid-for political allies are trying to destroy the middle-class by destroying unions and silencing the voices of working people. These are the same folks who are trying to weaken environmental and workplace protections to enrich themselves while making our communities less safe and destroying our environment. Help us keep up the fight with your contribution today. Sincerely,
Mark Schauer |
