Pacific Northwest Conservation Banking Course (Day 1 only)
The goal of the course is to foster collaboration among regulators, bankers and users of mitigation ensuring that all entities have a thorough grounding in conservation banking policy in order to facilitate the establishment of banks on the ground. Day 1 of the 3-day Pacific NW Conservation Banking course is open as a public session to these seeking an introduction to conservation banking.
Staff, managers, or project sponsors requiring overview/conext of the authorities behing and current needs/drivers for conservation banking.
Authorities behind mitigation banking programs, current status of banking in the region, joint Clean Water Act 404 and species conservation banks (with examples), a banker’s business case perspective, and an overview of the general process and requirements for establishing a conservation bank.
