From November 19-23, the global chocolate industry will come together in Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire for the World Cocoa Conference. This annual event draws the world's largest chocolate companies, food distributors, cocoa traders, and cocoa producing nation governments to discuss the state of the industry and long-term sustainability.

For these discussions, especially the issue of forced child labor, it's important to have the voice of civil society in the room. This is why Green America wants to send its fair trade campaigns director, Elizabeth O'Connell.

All funds raised through this effort will go directly towards travel costs and attendance fees for Liz at the World Cocoa Conference, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, November 19-23, 2012.

Here's how you can help:

$40 - Meal cost (per day)

$120 - Hotel cost (per day)

$150 - Visa

$200 - Ground transportation to cocoa farms

$495 - Conference Fee

$1200 - Airfare
