  • Disaster 201Builds upon the CCUSA semi-annual Disaster Preparedness and Response Training (formerly held) and Disaster 101 track. Appropriate for staff who have been formally trained by CCUSA in disaster strategies.
  • DiocesanEquips diocesan or parish-ministry based staff for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery strategies specific to the unique needs of dioceses and parishes.

*During the registration process participants are invited to select the most appropriate track for their training needs. Click here to see the full AIDE 2013 schedule

Since 2007, Catholic Charities USA has assisted local Catholic Charities agencies during more than 450 disasters. As the Catholic Charities Network becomes more of an "early responder" in disasters, there is a need to increase both knowledge and effectiveness in this area.

This hands-on disaster preparedness, response and recovery training is recommended for all Catholic Charities agency staff, including programmatic staff and agency directors, Diocesan staff and other personnel designated as having a role in disaster activities. This is also open to Parish staff and partner agency members (ex. Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent de Paul).

Take advantage of the affordable registration fee of $490! Registration includes all lodging, meals and materials for the training (accommodations include private rooms with private baths). AIDE will begin at 2:00 PM Central on Monday, October 14th, and conclude at 12:00 pm Central on Friday, October 18th.
